  1. Heat a Dutch oven over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  2. Sauté chopped onions, diced celery, diced jalapeño, and diced red pepper until very soft.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for a couple more minutes.
  4. Add ground beef and stir until well browned, about 10 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat and add tomato paste, cooking until slightly toasty.
  6. Add puréed canned tomatoes and cook for a few minutes.
  7. Add Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce to taste.
  8. Continue cooking until the mixture is thick, about 15-20 minutes.
  9. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  10. Serve on toasted potato buns.
